Agropolychim AD is a leading manufacturer of nitrogen and phosphorous fertilizers. From its headquarters in Bulgaria, it markets its products throughout the Balkan Peninsula, Southeastern Europe and beyond.

Client Challenge

Leaving a legacy behind

For the last 10 years, Agropolychim, a leading manufacturer of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, had been managing its manufacturing processes using the SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) solution, which was now outdated and unable to meet the manufacturer’s expansion goals.

Solution

Sowing the seeds of success

Specialists from the Atos Bulgaria SAP competency center evaluated the company’s business and advised implementing SAP S/4HANA using a greenfield strategy.
The proposal was accepted, and the two companies went to work. The scope of this implementation included:

  • SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)
  • Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)
  • Manufacturing Integration Intelligence (MII) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration
  • Material Master Portal
  • Transportation Management

Atos also developed a customer portal leveraging SAP Fiori to enable collaboration with customers and freight providers.

The greenfield implementation of S4/HANA gave Agropolychim a clean slate: a new system with new processes. Additionally, it has enabled increased automation and real-time data access across its production units for better decision-making.
