Atos and ABA Technology sign memorandum of understanding to scale sovereign artificial intelligence across Africa

Atos, a global leader in AI-powered digital transformation, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ABA Technology, the Moroccan technology company and creator of the Fusion AI platform. Under this agreement, Atos will serve as the integration partner for Fusion AI with its clients, accelerating the adoption of a unified sovereign AI architecture at scale. Fusion AI enables organisations to maintain full control over their data, systems and operations across regulated and complex environments throughout Africa.
Signed during GITEX Africa week, the MoU establishes a cooperation framework covering the integration and deployment of ABA Technology’s Fusion AI platform across Atos-led client environments, spanning enterprise organisations, public sector bodies, governments and scientific research institutions.
The collaboration brings together ABA Technology’s sovereign AI platform capabilities and Atos’ expertise in systems integration, digital transformation, cloud, cybersecurity and complex programme delivery. Together, the two companies aim to help clients move from AI experimentation to production-grade deployment in real-world environments, supported by AI systems capable of automating workflows under strict governance, security and auditability controls.
The MoU also creates opportunities to explore joint innovation initiatives across strategic sectors including industry, healthcare and life sciences, energy, mining and public services, with sector-focused AI solutions tailored to the specific needs of each client.
