Atos Cloud Computing recognized as pioneer in operations at Siemens Zero-Carbon Pioneer Award

Beijing, China – December 19, 2024 – Atos today announces that it has been awarded the honorable mention of Operation Pioneer at the 2nd Siemens Zero-Carbon Pioneer Award.  This accolade underscores Atos’ leadership in delivering sustainable data centers and cloud services, positioning the company as a pioneer in embedding sustainability into its operations and driving the decarbonization of IT infrastructure.

It is reported that around 70 companies registered for the 2024 Siemens Zero-Carbon Pioneer Award. Atos was selected after a rigorous evaluation by an esteemed panel of judges from Siemens, KPMG, Plug and Play, and TÜV SÜD. The award acknowledges Atos’ innovations in energy-efficient data center solutions, cloud optimization for reduced carbon footprints, and holistic decarbonization strategies tailored to its clients’ needs.

The honorable mention of Operation Pioneer reflects Atos’ achievements, including:

• Atos commits to halve all carbon emissions by 2025 compared to 2019 baseline, and net-zero carbon emissions by 2039 at the latest
• Atos 2023 Group emissions have decreased by 32% since the 2019 baseline year (3.3 to 2.5M tCO2e)
• Atos energy-efficient data centers which utilize green energy, advanced cooling technologies, and AI-driven resource optimization to lower emissions and improve efficiency
• Atos sustainable cloud services offer cloud migration strategies that minimize carbon impact
