About Rudy Montoya

Client Executive Partner – Texas Public Sector at Atos

Rudy Montoya is the Account Executive for Atos’ State of Texas business. Since joining Atos in November 2019, Rudy has led initiatives to support Texas Private Cloud and Mainframe services at the Texas Data Center. Prior to his role at Atos, Rudy served as the Chief Information Officer for the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) from 2012 to 2019. With over 30 years of experience in various roles within Texas state government, Rudy has a deep understanding of public sector technology needs.

As CIO at the OAG, Rudy focused on delivering technology solutions that aligned with the agency’s business strategies. Notably, in 2012, he spearheaded the implementation of one of the first statewide cloud-based case management systems for the Texas Crime Victims Program.

Rudy has actively contributed to multiple technology workgroups, including DIR’s IT Leadership Committee, the State Data Center Advisory Committee, the Strategic Telecommunications Plan for State Government Services, the State IT Strategic Plan, and the National Association of Attorney General’s IT Conference Committee. He has also served as past President of the Texas Association of State Systems for Computing and Communications.

In addition to his professional achievements, Rudy has been deeply involved in the Austin community, notably serving 11 years on the Austin ISD School Board.
