We like to think of the Atos team as our silent partner. We do not see them but we know that they are in the background performing an absolutely essential role. Their delivery of key IT systems for the Paralympic Games allows us to engage with a worldwide audience and deliver a message of inclusion.

The Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024: the most digital and secure in history

Atos integrated, managed and secured the critical IT systems to offer billions of fans around the world the most digital Olympic and Paralympic Games in history. Atos has been the leading technology integrator, from program management to systems integration, and the provider of 150+ core applications.

Application modernization and DevSecOps

Atos has implemented DevSecOps practices that enhance security while preserving agility and scalability. We have deployed nearly 600 containerized microservices that have transformed app development for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, speeding up the process by 3.

Delivering key applications for the IOC and IPC

Atos is delivering more than 150 key applications, including the Olympic Management System (OMS) and Olympic Diffusion System (ODS). These applications ensure centralized information and interaction between the various stakeholders, such as athletes, coaches, commentators, fans and organizing partners.

Ensuring technology readiness

Atos will conduct over 250 000 hours of rigorous testing before the competition begins. This initiative is performed using real data and scenarios from previous Olympic and Paralympic Games, guaranteeing that all critical applications run smoothly during the competition.

Real-time data transmission for fans and media

Atos distributes real-time data to officials and international media, keeping everyone — whether inside an event venue or watching at home across the globe — up to date with the latest Olympic and Paralympic Games results. Atos’s Commentator Information System (CIS) transmits results and sports information nearly instantaneously to broadcasters and media.

Reducing environmental impact on IT around the Olympic and Paralympic Games

By reducing physical servers and adopting more efficient development practices, we have played a significant part in delivering a greener Olympic and Paralympic Games, contributing to a climate-positive future.

The IOC and Atos have been on a journey together since 1989, when the company first became a key technology provider for the Olympic Movement. We have relied on Atos’ expertise and delivery throughout this period of great digital transformation, including here at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. On behalf of the IOC, I would like to thank Atos for their partnership over more than three decades.
