Waterstofgezant ziet kansen

Sandor Gaastra, directeur-generaal Klimaat en Energie van het ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat, benaderde Noé van Hulst met de vraag of hij een nieuwe functie wilde gaan bekleden: die van waterstofgezant. De aanleiding hiervoor lag hem in de in het voorjaar van 2018 gepubliceerde rapport ‘Contouren van een Routekaart Waterstof’ – over waterstof als component in de energietransitie, alsmede de internationale ontwikkelingen – en dus de noodzakelijkheid van samenwerken op dit terrein.

In dit artikel onder andere:

  • Wereldwijde ontwikkelingen op het gebied van waterstof – Japan loopt voorop.
  • De ‘Hydrogen Council’ heeft 23 toonaangevende waterstofprojecten in beeld gebracht en daarvan zijn er drie actueel in Nederland.
  • Nederland kan zich positioneren als ‘waterstofhub’, in navolging van de ‘gasrotonde’.
