Cybersecurity in the age of AI

Control, trust and accountability at scale

When AI accelerates, cybersecurity must lead

AI has been reshaping cybersecurity for some time now. But the pace has changed over the past months, and now the rate of acceleration has become impossible to ignore.

We are at the heart of a major shift, where AI is helping defenders detect faster, analyze deeper, and respond with greater precision. It is also helping attackers move faster, scale their operations quicker, and adapt their techniques at unparalleled speed. That’s right. The same technology that strengthens cyber defense is also expanding the attack surface.

This is why we selected Cybersecurity in the age of AI as the theme of this Digital Security Magazine edition. Because this shift is changing the core of cybersecurity strategy, and organizations must understand what to secure, where to build control, how to preserve trust, and how to operate at machine speed without losing accountability.

This cybersecurity structural shift requires a new approach on several fronts. We must secure the AI supply chain, from models and data to agents, tools and skills. We must secure AI itself, ensuring systems are governed, resilient and protected by enforceable controls. And we must leverage AI to optimize and advance cybersecurity, helping organizations strengthen their controls, improve resilience, and operate at the speed of the threats they face.

In this edition, our authors explore the questions that matter the most right now: how to build AI-empowered security programs that operate at machine speed without losing control; how to make trustworthy AI enforceable; how to treat model agentic AI; how identity must evolve for AI agents; how to protect OT and critical infrastructure; how to secure AI workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments; and how digital sovereignty now extends to decisions, not only data.

My sincere thanks to our authors for bringing their expertise, vision and clarity to this important topic, and to the editorial team for making this edition possible.

As AI accelerates, I hope this edition helps you lead your organizations and businesses with clarity, secure with confidence, and build trust at scale.
