Foreword

Another year has come and gone, and cyberthreats have never been more prevalent. Every quarter in 2022 saw a steep rise in the number of security incidents and the volume of compromised records. If we add the continuously growing attack surface to this challenging threat landscape, it is not surprising that cyber risk remains a top concern for organizations worldwide.

In our digital world, cybersecurity is the lifeline for protecting organizations from cyberattacks and the drastic financial repercussions that follow. The stakes are high, yet these uncertain economic times have put additional pressure on CISOs to do more with a flattish cybersecurity budget.

This ninth edition of the Atos Digital Security Magazine will help CISOs fine tune their cybersecurity spending strategies as we present our cybersecurity predictions for 2023 and share insights from CISO leaders on the risks and challenges they face, as well as their 2023 priorities.

Our cybersecurity experts will highlight their predictions for the major cyberthreats of 2023 — such as the supply chain attacks that are here to stay, or the innovation streak of cybercriminals who are using new tech like AI for no-good.

We will also address the new cybersecurity regulations that we expect in 2023 and provide our advice on how to adopt a compliance-driven program to be ready and prepared.

This edition will also zoom in on several innovative cybersecurity technology trends that are transforming how organizations consume cybersecurity. Our objective is to help cybersecurity leaders comprehend the key challenges of such projects, gauge how those technologies fit into their complex digital environments, and set their priorities with respect to their cyber risk appetite.

I would like to extend my warmest thanks to our clients and partners for participating in this edition, to the members of our Editorial Board and , last but not least, to all our cybersecurity experts who shared their insightful views and recommendations.

Cybersecurity is a passion for us at Atos, and we are pleased to share this passion with you in this special edition of our Digital Security Magazine.
