SAFE project is funded by the European Union under Grant Agreement No. 101190370 and is supported by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre.
The project, coordinated by Eviden Technologies SRL, has a 36-month duration starting on the 1st of January 2025, and a total budget of 7,998,000 euro, with a funding rate of 50% of the action’s eligible costs.
The project will focus on the use of enabling technologies, such as AI, to develop, test, and deliver a comprehensive cybersecurity platform designed to serve SOCs as well as National SOCs.
To achieve this outcome, the components will support and enhance SOC capabilities to identify, analyze, and respond to various threat actors, vulnerabilities, and incidents in cyberspace. Furthermore, the project will harness enabling technologies to generate qualitative intelligence regarding cyber threats and enhance the development, examination, and processing of CTI for speed and scalability.
Project Objectives
Objective 1
Develop a component with Extended Detection and Response capabilities which enhances the detection and response process during cybersecurity incidents. This platform will extract and centralize information from different layers into an intuitive user interface while leveraging AI and dynamic learning to continuously adapt to the evolving threat landscape.
Objective 2
Develop a component dedicated to malware detonation in a strictly controlled and contained environment that allows for the safe extraction of raw information. The detonation output will be transferred to the distribution component to serve threat intelligence analysts.
Objective 3
Create a module that performs vulnerability management on targeted assets and prioritizes them based on various factors. This module will interact with the XDR to perform data enrichment.
Objective 4
Create a threat intelligence platform that enables organizations to utilize and share CTI and other actionable information for analysis and insights through a portal that allows users to search for indicators of interest.
Estimated results and impact
Expected Outcome #1
Deployment of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Key Technologies as enablers for SOCs
Expected Outcome #2
Tools for creation, analysis and processing of CTI that allow for faster and more scalable SOC operations.
Expected Outcome #3
Build original European Threat Intelligence feeds.
