Global Accessibility Awareness Day 2025

#GAAD2025

May 15, 2025

Our GAAD event

Join us for our 11th edition of the annual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (#GAAD2025) on “Committing to change”. This year’s purpose is to get everyone talking, thinking, and learning about digital access and inclusion.

2015, 2016, 2017

2018, 2019, 2020, 2021

Global Accessibility Awareness Day focuses on digital access & inclusion for more than 1.6 billion people with disabilities and impairments around the globe, while also showcasing the “curb-cut’ effect that benefits everyone.

The event aims to spark conversations and enhance understanding about digital access and inclusion.

Implementing emerging tech in inclusive ways

Technologies, such as large language models and AI assistants, are emerging into the mainstream. They can provide people with disabilities with new opportunities to create and implement solutions that enable greater access to information and support cognitive accessibility needs in the workplace.

As AI tools and embedded assistive features in workplace tools become more and more mainstream, the opportunities grow for supporting participation for everyone. We encourage anyone who is interested in inclusive ICT to join our session on 15th of May to learn about some of the ways in which we are using these technologies to support access and inclusion.
