Datacenter-as-a-Service

In our digital era, data centers are the beating heart of many businesses. At the same time, data centers are highly specialized environments with high investment costs. Not all businesses requiring data centers have the knowledge and financial reach to build and operate their own data centers. Therefore, with our expertise and experience, we provide cost-effective Datacenter-as-a-Service services from our Belgian data centers.

Location

Atos has 2 data centers in Belgium, located at 30 km from each other: one in Mechelen (Brussels North) and one in Huizingen (Brussels South). The distance between these 2 data centers is strategic as it is both far enough apart for local incidents (flood, electricity, strike, …) not to impact both locations and at the same time close enough together for limited latency.

Specifications

Our data centers are Tier III certified, meaning all critical components have N+1 redundancy, allowing maintenance without shutting down operations and an uptime of 99,982%.

Atos is fully aware of its responsibility to the planet. We strive to be an environmental leader in the digital sector. Our data centers are designed, built and operated to minimize environment impact:

We use 100% green energy, some of which we produce on site with solar panels
We offset 100% of our data center’s carbon emissions
We use efficient cooling systems (e.g. free cooling, cold aisle, white roof, …), leading to a PUE of 1,4

Our efforts are represented in the ISO14001 certificate for our Brussels North data center.

We offer a broad range of complementary services, ranging from smart hands & eyes, storage space, network services, consultancy, project management, …

We can meet both small and large needs. Whether you need a rack unit, a rack, an aisle or a cage, we’ve got you covered! The usage (and costs) can also easily be scaled up or down in line with your business requirements.

Recognition

In 2024, Atos Belgium was awarded the Data Center Services Company of the Year award at the prestigious DataNews Awards for Excellence. DataNews added the following statement when announcing this award: “The jury makes a statement with this award. Atos was in difficult financial papers, but that is separate from their excellent service and that should be said out loud. The company offers a broad technology stack and is generally highly valued by the jury.”
