Net Zero Manufacturing: Reducing your carbon intensity

An Atos Thought-Leaders Roundtable event

15 Sept. 2021 | 16:00 – 17:30 CET | 10:00 – 11:30 am EST

COP26 will accelerate carbon pricing/taxing – are you ready?

The UK will host the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) and will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

What will be the impact on the Manufacturing Industry?

In this roundtable, we’ll exchange insights and the latest information from industry experts to explore best practices for decarbonization and reducing carbon intensity.

Learn from Daniel Summerbell from the Institute for Sustainable Manufacturing, Cambridge University

  • How a 10% reduction today is worth up to four times as much as in 2050 and
  • How to do it in a cost positive way with the help of technology such as Artificial Intelligence.

Listen to and discuss real-life examples from heavy polluters like the cement industry that showed the potential to reduce of energy consumption by ~8% and fuel-derived CO2 by ~20% through improved forecasting and control of process variation. Learn about the ongoing work to capture these benefits through cutting edge AI technologies.

Peer-to-Peer Collaboration

Where do the leaders of the manufacturing industry go for ideas and perspectives?

For many, the most valuable insight comes from conversation with industry peers.

The Atos Thought-Leaders Roundtable Series creates the opportunity to share experience, ideas and challenges with other manufacturing leaders, in a casual virtual setting. We limit our audiences to 6-8 executive-level guests, plus select experts from Atos, industry analysts and global partners for an eye on the future.

No sales hype – just an opportunity to learn from and collaborate with your peers.

Discover how to best prioritize your actions and take business decisions with Stuart Lemmon, the Managing Director from EcoAct Northern Europe.

Atos has recently completed the acquisition of EcoAct, an internationally recognized climate strategy consulting firm with a 15 year track record and a team of 160 climate experts.
