The joint presentation describes how organizations can gain greater cost optimization by gathering and integrating data obtained from IoT to proactively limit failures, safety risks and defects. This cost optimization approach, what Gartner Research calls low hanging fruit, allows for quick wins for the wider application of IoT, using new analytics and situational intelligence that support maintenance requirements securely and cost effectively.
