Atos Blog wins award: Best CIO/IT Director blog
Fellow blogger Rob Price and I attended the Computer Weekly Social Media Awards this week. Full of expectation and enthusiasm we joined our Social Media peers and our (award category) competitors in central London – we hoped to gain success with our Atos CIO Blog in the Best CIO/IT Director blog category.
As you will have already gleaned from the title of this article, we were indeed awarded that title of “Best CIO/IT Director blog”, and we are very thankful to our readership for voting for us. We were proud to displace the previous holders of the title, and I exchanged some friendly words with their team!
A little about the evening: TweetDeck was projected on the wall which provided much fun and brinkmanship for twitter users at the event, and enabled the wider community to participate in the excitement. Indeed members of our blog team and the Atos Scientific Community offered their support – it was great to see the Atos logo appearing repeatedly in the feed.
Many prominent Social Media figures were present at the event, or represented in the award categories. The fact that Atos is standing shoulder to shoulder with them demonstrates the part we play as a modern dynamic IT Services organisation. It was a proud moment on stage when we received our certificate.
In just two years, the Atos CIO Blog has grown to provide a voice for 100 people and expanded to become the global blogging platform for the 75,000 people in the Atos business. I expect us to go from strength to strength, and everyone can participate in our success by commenting on the bloggers’ articles.
