Atos selected by IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG as SAP license management partner

Munich, 25 May 2021

Atos announces IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG as a new client. The company will be supported by Atos with a custom solution as well as maintenance of its SAP applications and license management over an initial seven-year period.

Atos in Germany is creating a scalable, flexible solution tailored to the needs of IKB, in the form of an SAP Partner Managed Cloud to be provided on a subscription basis. With this bespoke solution IKB – which supports medium-sized German enterprises with loans, capital market and advisory services – is able to flexibly adjust the scope of SAP licenses to its specific requirements. Substantial annual savings are expected as a result.

Atos won the tender of the project competing against 13 other competitors with its sound understanding of the customer, years of SAP expertise together with the strong position of Atos as a leading SAP partner in Germany. Atos has a team of more than 13,500 SAP experts globally and, as a long-standing platinum partner of SAP, supports more than three million SAP end-users in over 90 countries.

“With Atos we have a partner at our side who understands our requirements and needs precisely. As a financing partner for the German SME sector, we place great value on a strong understanding of our customers and expect the same from our partners. Atos has presented a solution tailored to our requirements, which brings us considerable advantages and relief both financially and administratively”, says Nils Gröblinghoff, Team lead SAP at IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG.

Through the support of Atos, IKB is now able to adapt the scope of their SAP licenses to their own needs through the SAP Partner Managed Cloud and switch from a rigid on-premises model to the new agile cloud-based solution.

“The desire of IKB to obtain a more flexible approach to SAP license management can only be achieved with a specialized partner. As the leading SAP partner in Germany, we have the necessary order volume and decades of experience with SAP to be able to make individual offers to our customers. We are very pleased with the decision and the trust placed in us by IKB “, says Jo Sevarts, SVP Head of Financial Services & Insurance Central Europe at Atos.

In April this year Atos was named a Leader in Intelligent Automation in Banking by NelsonHall.
