“Atos receives the France Cybersecurity Label for two of its Bull cybersecurity solutions”

Paris, 28 January 2015

Atos receives the France Cybersecurity Label for two of its Bull solutions: Hoox, the secure mobile phone, and TrustWayProteccio, the cryptographic module for running sensitive applications.

The award was presented to Atos at the International Forum on Cybersecurity by Ms Axelle Lemaire, Secretary of State for Digital Affairs.

Philippe Vannier, Atos Executive Vice-President in charge of the Big Data & Security, said "I am delighted that the Bull cybersecurity products have received this recognition. With a dedicated R&D team, Bull has been working for many years to develop cybersecurity solutions in France and Europe. Atos' takeover of Bull has enabled us to gain credibility not only because of our large size on the cybersecurity market, but also because of our comprehensive package of products and services. We offer European businesses a complete system of data processing, with end-to-end security. Nowadays, to be able to compete in the world of big data and meet its security needs, you have to do what the GAFAs (Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon) are doing and manage the entire value chain in full security.

Hoox, the secure smartphone, approved by the French Network and Information Security Agency (ANSSI)

The Hoox m2 ensures that public and private sector organizations keep their most sensitive information confidential when exchanging data classified as 'Restricted Information', one of the Government's levels of protection for sensitive data.

The Hoox smartphone is fully secure and guarantees high-level security, with biometric fingerprint and code authentication, as well as encryption of all voice calls, text messages, emails and stored and exchanged data. The anti-phone tapping device and the strengthening of the Android operating system at every level - which plays a crucial part in protecting the phone locally - are covered by the 'Restricted Information' classification.

Developed and manufactured in France, the Hoox smartphone is fully in line with the French Government's strategy to enhance security.

TrustwayProteccio: the hardware security module (HSM)

HSM is an electronic device which provides a security service for generating, storing and controlling the use of cryptographic keys.

TrustWay™ Proteccio has been designed to meet the operating flexibility requirements of public and private bodies. It enables them to comply with the applicable rules and reduce their operating costs by strengthening their level of security. It meets even the most stringent of standards such as Common Criteria EAL4+ and FIPS 140-2 Level 3 .

100% European-made, TrustWay™ Proteccio is ideal for organisations that wish to benefit from a flexible HSM solution with a high level of security. This cryptographic module has become the benchmark for secure cryptographic operations for critical applications.
