“Atos named a Visionary in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Analytics Services, Worldwide”

Atos, an international leader in digital services, today announced that it has been named a Visionary by Gartner in Business Analytics Services, Worldwide according to its completeness of vision and ability to execute.

For this Magic Quadrant, Gartner evaluates 18 full-service providers for a broad range of implementation services across multiple business analytics (BA) needs including decision management capabilities, analytics capabilities and information management (IM) capabilities.

According to the worldwide report, a Visionary aligns “with Gartner’s view of how the market is evolving, but they are still building proof points of their ability to deliver against that vision today. This may reflect a competitive strategy, such as selling an innovation ahead of mainstream demand, aligning execution capabilities with that innovation, or early attempts at differentiating in the market.

Ursula Morgenstern, Global Head of Consulting and Systems Integration at Atos, said: “As we highlighted in our latest trends report – ascent Journey 2018 – lifecycle of data is at the heart of the digital transformation of both business and society. How data is created, transported, analysed and acted upon represents both opportunity and threat for organisations. Our focus, through R&D is to provide solutions and services to our clients that enable them to exploit the opportunities of the third digital revolution[1] fast and cost efficiently.”

One of key areas for focus in the area of business analytics is the partnership and joint investment fund between Siemens and Atos. Together the two companies have developed a pre-configured analytics platform that can be reused for a range of data analytic services from descriptive through predictive to real-time prescriptive analytics. This means typical proofs of concepts can be developed within a week and business value is typically proven within 4-6 weeks. Atos further strengthened its offering in big data and business analytics following the acquisition of Bull in 2014 extending its solutions and services to cover the whole value chain from established skills in Business Intelligence, Data Mining, Enterprise Content Management and Decision Support Systems through to High Performance Computing, in-memory and big data appliances.
