“Worldline chooses customweb to enhance Sips compliance with open-source shopping carts”

Worldline, Atos subsidiary in e-payment services, and customweb, expert in the development of payment plugins for eCommerce solutions, announce their partnership to connect Sips with all major open-source eCommerce solutions. With this partnership, Worldline provides merchants a quick and efficient solution to easily install the Sips payment gateway on their eCommerce website, allowing them to save up to 100% of the development hours.

Sips, Worldline’s e-payment solution, is the payment gateway for 45,000 e-merchants in Europe. The platform processed over 440 million transactions in 2013. They all benefit from international connections to acquirers in multiple currencies, access to international and local payment methods, scoring and anti-fraud tools, and a multi-channel environment for the customer.

customweb is a company specialized in the development of plugins for open-source eCommerce solutions, including Magento, PrestaShop and WooCommerce (WordPress eCommerce solution). One main strategic focus of customweb is to simplify the acceptance of payments in webshops as much as possible. This should be reflected in the brandname sellXed which is a blend between sell and relaxed. customweb has developed Sips compatible plugins for 17 open-source shopping carts. These plugins will let merchants adapt to their customers local payment habits : BCMC in Belgium, iDEAL in Holland, Sofortüberweisung in Germany. All these plugins also include features such as one-click payment, that improve the customer’s experience on merchants’ website by speeding up the purchasing process.

“All plugins are available in German, Italian, French, English, Spanish and Dutch: alongside with local payment types, it will allow Sips and sellXed to increase their European footprint and to reach new markets beyond their initial borders. Additionally we provide direct customer support in French, English and German should our customer need assistance during the integration”, announces Sascha Krüsi, Co-founder at customweb.

“We have decided to work hand-in-hand with customweb to continuously improve the provided plugins and let merchants access to all new features and services developed on our payment gateway, with a high quality level. All plugins are certified by Worldline teams who have worked closely with customweb”, explains Thierry Debuf, Head of Operations for Sips at Worldline.
