AIR FRANCE KLM is the first airline company to use the latest mobile technology to keep all its customers informed in real time, proactively and free of charge Thanks to its capacity for innovation and its expertise in the field of customer relations and marketing, Atos, an international IT services company, was chosen by AIR FRANCE KLM, a major air transportation company operating in France, Europe and worldwide, to support it in implementing its new AIR FRANCE KLM Connect service. This service enables all of the Group's passengers, all over the world, to receive real-time information about their flight, for a simpler, smoother journey.
AIR FRANCE KLM Connect is a new, exclusive service that covers all flights on the AIR FRANCE KLM network free of charge and without requiring registration or subscription, informing passengers in real time of any changes or issues affecting their journey. The new service enables AIR FRANCE KLM to add a new dimension to the customer relationship by communicating with them in a personalized and proactive manner.
AIR FRANCE KLM entrusted Atos with implementing the automated CRM platform in partnership with Unica, a leading producer of marketing software solutions. It has a real-time architecture based on Web Services and interlinked to about 15 partner applications (customer databases, specific events such as baggage progress, changes to departure gate, etc.).
The newly implemented platform allows the airlines to inform customers by SMS and/or email, wherever they are in the world, of any issues that might arise during their journey (delay, change of departure gate, etc.). The main technical and functional challenge of this project was to organize all of the communications in a secure manner, taking into account the full set of parameters to allow personalized contact with each passenger.
