Further to the announcement made today by its customer Arcandor to liquidate its subsidiary Primando/Quelle, Atos Origin indicates that around 250 employees are currently working for the client Primondo/Quelle representing a revenue of EUR 45 million for the first nine months of 2009.

Atos Origin estimates that the maximum impact of this liquidation on its 2009 accounts is in the range of : EUR 2 and 4 million on operating margin, between EUR 10 and 15 million maximum on cash flow (including potential restructuring costs) and between EUR 5 and 10 million on revenue.
Consequently, the Group will accelerate the negotiations already started with the Working Councils in Germany in order to adapt quickly the level of resources to the new environment.

Atos Origin maintains its 2009 objectives as confirmed during the Q3 release on October 16th, 2009:

  • a slight revenue organic decrease, in the range of the actual YTD September 2009
  • an operating margin improvement by 50 to 100 basis points compared to 2008, ie between 5.3% and 5.8%
  • a positive cash flow
