The Atos Origin Services Center in Rennes
Among Atos Origin's six European service centers (Rennes, Naples, Nottingham, Madrid, Barcelona and Grenoble), Rennes was the first to be certified to Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level 3 standards. The CMM standard enables software developers to assess their capabilities and further improve their processes. The Rennes Center, which is scheduled to receive CMMi Level 4 certification in 2006, hired roughly 100 engineers in 2005, increasing the current workforce to around 250, and expects to continue its sustained expansion in the years ahead.
The Center's teams manage maintenance and large project integration services, such as the implementation of Customer Relationship Management, invoicing and network supervision systems, as well as convergent value-added service applications. These services leverage the Center's combined expertise in advanced information technologies (Object design, Java, XML, databases), business process applications and software development quality certification programs (ISO 9001 and CMM3).
An international business
The Rennes facility is also positioned as an international telecommunication expertise center, notably in the area of CRM. This global mission strengthens Brittany's image in the areas of research, development and innovation. The French government has already designated the region a “world-class competitiveness hub.”
The Rennes Center is in line with Atos Origin's strategy of deploying service centers throughout France as part of the company's Global Sourcing strategy. Global Sourcing creates an international framework that meets customer demand for quality and lower costs, offering the ideal combination of skills and expertise to provide customers with outstanding service, when and where it is needed, at the right price.
“Thanks to its CMM3 certification, the Rennes Center has become an industry leader in terms of excellence and expertise,” said Thierry Miléo, Atos Origin's Vice President Telecom Market in France. “Gabriel Breit's mission will be to ensure that all our telecom customers benefit from these strengths.”
