“Atos Origin earns comprehensive AFAQ quality certification for its entire Systems Integration business”

Paris – September 15, 2004

Four and a half months after the SchlumbergerSema and Atos Origin operating teams began to merge, the French Systems Integration business has earned comprehensive AFAQ* quality certification, attesting to the implementation of a quality management system compliant with ISO 9001:2000 standards.

The new organization was introduced in January, when the responsibilities and duties of each employee were formally defined. Today, these duties are clearly understood and unlikely to change. The company's objectives have been deployed and amply explained to the 5,700 Systems Integration employees in France. The Performance Management System, based on the Atos Origin Business Process Model (AOBPM**), has now incorporated a number of best practices from SchlumbergerSema, and has been quickly implemented across the business.

AFAQ has accredited the full range of Systems Integration operations, including integration and engineering projects, technical support, applications maintenance and training, with certification covering all of the business' locations in France. The certification illustrates the successful integration of the business' teams, who from the first day shared their expertise in a common commitment to serving their customers.

**About the Atos Origin Business Process Model (AOBPM)
As part of its commitment to continuous quality improvement, Atos Origin developed the Atos Origin Business Process Model (AOBPM), which indexes and formalizes all operations for each Atos Origin unit. In this way, the system was extended beyond quality management to integrate production, management, support and finance operations.

The key component in AOBPM is the Rainbow process (Risk Assessment in Named Business Opportunities Worldwide). Applicable to all Atos Origin operating units, it provides a common language and tools for project management, thereby ensuring that risks are managed at the appropriate level, that the decision-making process is traceable, and that, when necessary, Business Units involved in the same project work together to ensure successful completion.
