“Atos Origin Belux and Ardatis join forces”
Zaventem - 28th April 2004
Sugar producer Tiense Suikerraffinaderij and insurance company Avéro the first to benefit from new synergies
Atos Origin Belux and Ardatis have announced that they are joining forces as part of a strategic partnership. By entering into this cooperation agreement both companies want to make the best possible use of their strengths within the Belgian market. Ardatis enjoys a strong position in the public sector, social security and healthcare, as well as in automation projects related to human resources. Atos Origin has demonstrated its capabilities in the manufacturing, banking and telecom sectors, as well as with the European Institutions. Both parties will be using their joint expertise to take on more and larger projects. They will also be involved closely in infrastructure (services) and intend setting up a virtual ‘resource office', enabling them to provide customers with a broader and more varied offering of highly-qualified professionals.
Together, both Ardatis and Atos Origin will offer genuine end-to-end solutions to their customers. From strategic advice, organisation and process (re-) engineering, over ICT-consulting and the development of business critical systems, next to application, infrastructure management and outsourcing services. And this, as of today, for an even wider range of market segments and technical platforms. This extended joint offering will, quite naturally, enable this partnership to engage into a wider range of projects for system integration or outsourcing.
Through this partnership Ardatis and Atos Origin Belux will be able to offer an integrated total solution, while extending services:
- Consulting: combining Ardatis' expertise in the public sector, social security, healthcare and human resources with Atos Origin's experience in manufacturing, banking, and telecom sectors, the European Institutions, ERP and infrastructure cover many market segments and projects.
- Clients from both companies benefit from combining Atos Origin's ERP projects with the HR solutions provided by Ardatis.
- The two companies' joint expertise in system integration provides the flexibility and capacity needed to take on larger and more complex projects. At the same time, there is also the guarantee that Ardatis and Atos Origin will both continue to use their own individual approaches to the market.
- Atos Origin's extensive infrastructure services enable Ardatis to reduce its costs through economies of scale. And by combining their infrastructure (services), the partners can offer to their customers even better guarantees in terms of business continuity.
- Ardatis and Atos Origin will jointly be offering a virtual resource office designed to provide existing and potential clients with a wider and more varied range of highly-qualified staff and ensure that they are deployed in the best possible way.
This strategic new partnership provides a response to the demand in the marketplace for on-going innovation, total solutions, global presence, economies of scale and continuity. The sugar producer, Tiense Suikerraffinaderij, and insurance company Avéro, which is part of the Achmea Group, are the first to benefit from the new synergies created by the cooperation between Ardatis and Atos Origin Belux.
“Atos Origin is always looking for good opportunities to work with parties capable of enhancing the solutions we offer our customers,” says Henri Van Engelen, Managing Directors of Atos Origin Belgium and Luxembourg. “As a Belgian company, Ardatis has built up a solid reputation in infrastructure and application management. They are also well placed in consultancy for HR and the public sector. Yet Atos Origin and Ardatis only overlap in very few areas. Our aim is to take these strengths and use them to the best possible effect in approaching the Belgian market together.”
“Joining forces with Atos Origin was a logical step for us to take,” explains Patrick Installé, CEO of Ardatis. “As a provider of infrastructure services, size is of critical importance. Working with Europe's largest provider of IT services takes us to the level we were looking to achieve. We have been working with some of our clients for over 30 years already and see it as our duty to provide them with the on-going guarantees they want in terms of quality and costs, as well as stability and continuity. The fact that Atos Origin Belux also has an offering that dovetails perfectly with our core skills makes our working together all the more attractive.”
