Industry-Leading ORYX Platform to Support VoIP Network Advancements
Priority Call Management, one of the world's leading suppliers of enhanced calling and messaging solutions and a division of Atos Origin, today announced full support of the IP protocol for their award-winning ORYX Ò product. ORYX delivers a robust application suite designed to enable application portability and convergence for any network as well as allowing service providers to offer customers a seamless migration to new features while maintaining familiar revenue-generating services. Priority Call Management will be showcasing ORYX at VON 2004 in Santa Clara, CA (Booth #107).
To date, ORYX applications have been installed in service provider networks globally to support enhanced calling and messaging applications such as call answering, IVR, unified messaging, personal one-number, and prepaid calling. These applications provide the building blocks for services that allow subscribers to conveniently compose, access, respond to and manage all their messages using their access device of choice. The focal point of this service-rich system is the unified mailbox, where voice, fax, and email messages are stored.
Leading Messaging Platform Interoperable with VoIP
The ORYX Messaging Application for VoIP builds on this carrier grade offering and has been designed for service providers who focus on layering telephony and IP networks and who are introducing new IP-based services to their subscribers.

These services are provided by Priority Call's next generation Application Server that controls other network elements via SIP. The flexibility of the ORYX VoIP application offers increased value to carriers through inter-operability and consistency of services. ORYX will not only offer expansion of existing messaging services for continued revenue generation, but will also provide carriers the foundation to create the next "golden" service leveraging their investment in a packet backbone.

Introduced at VON as well is the availability of ORYX eTools, a software toolkit based on XML and HTTP for service creation. Subscribers receive a web-based interface for ORYX provisioning, customizing, and service management.
