“Aquarius: a new network customized for SMEs”
Milan, March 22nd 2004
Atos Origin, one of the leading international IT services providers, has announced the creation of a new network that pools together the best business solutions in Italy for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
Aquarius, which specifically offers SAP-based IT systems customized for well-targeted markets, is a new network designed to help Italian SMEs take on new challenges in terms of business and competitivity. Thanks to its vast and extensive presence throughout the country, Aquarius can pool together the best skills and professional experience that Atos Origin and its partners have to offer at the Skills Center created in 2001 for small and medium-sized businesses.
"Even though the current situation for Italian companies is fragmented and diversified, it is primarily characterized by common requirements" explains Pietro Maradei, Director of Atos Origin's SME Network Division. "Aquarius emerged as a single pool of partners with specific skills, distribution throughout the country and proven experience in every vertical market".
Aquarius will develop projects for the entire country and coordinate a team of partners to guarantee a high quality standard, even for projects involving Italian companies abroad. "It is important to remember that Italy has many small and medium-sized businesses that often manage parallel activities in very different markets, or have foreign subsidiaries and need to use an integrated approach in order to manage every activity in leading markets" concluded Mr. Maradei.
"Atos Origin myPMI" is at the heart of the network offer, which provides two types of solutions:
vertical sector solutions that follow SAP best practices in Italy and benefit from the Group's professional experience, and cross-cutting solutions for sectors such as Business Basic (myPMI.finance), Business Intelligence (Ready BW), Customer Relationship Management (Ready CRM), and Product Lifecycle Management (Ready PLM).
