“A Series of Certifications for AtosEuronext”
Paris - June 16, 2003
AtosEuronext announced today that in France its Banking, Finance and Insurance business units, Diamis joint venture, and Operations business unit (IT production services) have been certified to ISO 9001:2000 standards by AFAQ, the French Quality Assurance Association.
AtosEuronext's Banking, Finance and Insurance business units and its Diamis joint venture earned ISO 9001 certification from AFAQ in 2001. Today, these certificates have been renewed and updated, in compliance with ISO 9001:2000 standards. In addition, an initial audit has enabled the Operations business unit to obtain ISO 9001:2000 certification.
These certifications attest to the continuous improvements that the AtosEuronext quality management system delivers to customers, in terms of quality, costs, on-time performance and service levels.
More specifically focused on customer satisfaction than the previous version, ISO 9001:2000 standards make the quality management system the foundation of a broader system for managing all of an organization's processes, from design to delivery, including the realization and implementation phases for both products and services. In this way, the certification audit of AtosEuronext's activities covered all the functions involved in project execution until production start-up, including management and support functions.
AtosEuronext is a 50-50 joint venture established in 2000 between Euronext, the leading pan-European exchange, and Atos Origin, a leading European IT services company. The combination of the founders' strong competencies in financial flows and high technology has created a leading European player in critical real-time transactional solutions for financial services and retailing. AtosEuronext has 1,200 employees in Amsterdam, Brussels, London and Paris, serving insurance companies, banks and stock exchanges on five continents.
