“Atos Origin confirms leadership in french distributed infrastructure management market”

Paris - May 19, 2003

A study published in March by Pierre Audoin Consultants ranked Atos Origin number 1 in the French distributed infrastructure management market for the second year in a row.

According to the consulting firm, growth in IT outsourcing services was driven in 2002 by the distributed infrastructure management segment, which accounted for 45% of the overall outsourcing market. Distributed infrastructure management includes multi-year management of outsourced services delivered from distributed platforms comprising intermediate servers, desktop systems and LANs.

Atos Origin reported 2002 revenue totaling €183 million in the distributed infrastructure management segment, representing a 16.6% increase. Its business in this area is handled mainly by the Desktop Services Division, which currently manages more than 100,000 PCs, 5,000 servers and support for 150,000 users. The Division employs more than 1,000 people working on a variety of specialized management, integration and deployment, help desk, logistics and supervision platforms.

On the basis of these figures, Pierre Audoin Consultants asserted in its study that: "Atos Origin is clearly the leader in the French distributed systems outsourcing market. Despite a general downturn of demand in 2002, the company again reported good performance and increased market share."
