“Olivier Nora: Telecommunications Market Manager, Southern Europe”

Olivier Nora, 32, has joined Atos Origin with responsibility for pursuing business development in the telecommunications market. A graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole des Mines, Mr. Nora also holds an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Management.

Olivier Nora previously served with France's Ministry of Industry as assistant director for electronic components, from 2000 to 2002, with responsibility for the microelectronics, optoelectronics and automotive electronics sector, and for transportation telematics. His duties included responsibility for attracting foreign investment, for research and development programs, and for the State's equity investment in the industry (in collaboration with the French Treasury Department).

From 1997 to 2000, at the Ministry of Industry, Mr. Nora was in charge of France's National Telecommunications Research Network (created to take over certain activities of the former CNET research organization when France Télécom was partially privatized), and of supervising the Groupe des Ecoles de Télécommunications. He previously worked for Renault in France and Elf Atochem in Germany.
