“Atos Origin chosen by Crédit Lyonnais to Operate SMS-Based Alert Service”
Paris - March 5, 2003
Crédit Lyonnais has awarded Atos Origin a three-year contract to operate its SMS-based alert and account management service on the Atos Origin multimedia platform.
As part of a comprehensive strategy designed to revamp its SMS system, Crédit Lyonnais was looking for a technical services provider to help meet surging demand for the SMS service initially offered to customers in 2000.
Atos Origin was chosen because of its connectability with the three mobile phone operators in France (Orange, SFR and Bouygues Télécom) and its industrial-strength multimedia platform, which can send several dozen SMS messages in one second. Another determining factor for Crédit Lyonnais was Atos Origin's ability to set up the service in less than two months.
In addition to operating these services on its multimedia platform, Atos Origin provided Crédit Lyonnais with a user statistics module for the service and a Web-based administration and real-time tracking interface.
With the SMS service operated by Atos Origin, Crédit Lyonnais customers can use their mobile phones to:
- Access account statements
- Obtain the latest transaction details
- Check credit card amounts outstanding
- Determine whether limits have been exceeded
- Receive stock order confirmation notices
- Access securities accounts details
