“Roland Tcherkézian Appointed Atos Odyssée Partner for the Telecommunications Segment”
Paris - October 18, 2002
Roland Tcherkézian, 42, a graduate of France's Ecole Centrale de Lyon engineering school, has been appointed a partner in Atos Odyssée, Atos Origin's consulting business in France. He will be responsible for developing telecommunications-related business.
Mr. Tcherkézian began his career at Andersen Consulting-now Accenture-where he spent seven years managing major information system projects. He joined Altis in 1993, gaining greater managerial independence and helping to develop the telecommunications business, in particular in the field of network management.
In 1997, buoyed by the mobile telephone and Internet boom, he set up his own management consulting firm, Mille-Alliance, which worked with leading telecommunications operators such as Orange, Wanadoo and Bouygues Télécom. He acquired cutting-edge expertise in customer service strategy, the operational deployment of call centers and CRM tools. Before joining Atos Odyssée, Mr. Tcherkézian also set up an online securities trading company.
Since joining Atos Odyssée in September 2002, his main task has been to expand the company's telecommunications business, in cooperation with experts from Atos Origin.
Atos Odyssée executives are delighted to have him onboard. Says one, "Roland's telecommunications experience and skills considerably strengthen our presence in a segment that is of strategic importance to both Atos Origin and Atos Odyssée."
