For its presentation at the Banking Technology and Financial Service Display ("Bank-Finanz-Systeme", hall 18, stand A24,3), the IT service provider Atos Origin focuses on multi-channel banking solutions for specialised financial services providers in the banking market. Atos Origin supports its customers world-wide with a portfolio ranging from consulting across a wide range of standard products through to managed services. The Poseidon eBusiness Platform forms the basis for all these products and enables individual local and corporate strategies and customer visions to be transformed into results.
Currently, in addition to the traditional access channels - bank branches, ATMs, account statement printers, telephone and Internet - mobile phones, PDAs, the television and video channels are being developed in an attempt to win the fight over new customers. In the future, banks will have to offer even more services and add further distribution channels. Performance-orientated cross-channel strategies in this context are a beneficial supplement to an institutions' cross selling strategy. Currently, new types of specialised banking models (transaction banking, securities banking, Web outlets, financial and payment portals) are being developed, which are ready to offer this portfolio to the end customer both nationally and internationally. The bank's objective is always to be able to reach the end customer with the complete portfolio of products and services, in real-time and independent of the customer's location.
The challenge for the banks is to accommodate all the aspects of an e/mBusiness strategy into one transparent technical architecture, which enables technological innovations and new business processes to be easily and quickly integrated. This includes new developments in security, payments (multi-payment), personalisation (CRM and multi-portal) and sales and marketing channels (multi-channel). Atos Origin unites relevant technology with extensive banking and business expertise to provide solutions that precisely fit the business model of the individual bank.
The Poseidon eBusiness Platform forms the prerequisite to master the challenges and realise banking visions. This platform is used as the base from which Atos Origin and the customer develop new business strategies. For example, this could mean the migration of existing infrastructures to a multi-channel strategy, or the ability to expand portfolios and sales and distribution channels quickly and economically.
