“Atos Origin Opens New Remote Management Platform in Orléans and Earns ISO 9002 Certification for Remote Management Business”

Atos Origin has installed a new technical platform in Orléans to respond to fast-growing demand for remote management services.
Advanced remote management services
Atos Origin has set up a competency center dedicated to the management of information technology systems and applications. Covering the full range of commercial technologies, these services can be delivered at regularly scheduled times either on client premises or remotely from Atos Origin platforms.
Atos Origin manages all or part of the operations of large data processing centers in a number of industries, for clients such as AG2R, AXA, BMW, BNP Paribas, Electricité de France/Gaz de France, Esso, GMF, GSIT, Société Générale and Usinor.
Electricité de France/Gaz de France has awarded Atos Origin a contract under a European tender issued by the French utility's new Information Systems and Technology Division, which was created to pool resources and rationalize outsourcing. The deal further demonstrates the state-owned company's confidence in Atos Origin, which has provided it with operations maintenance services for a number of years. Four technical environments are now managed by Atos Origin, which manages and runs applications on Bull, IBM, Unix and Windows NT platforms and administers Unix and NT systems, networks and databases. With the new contract, 150 servers are being managed from the new platform in Orléans.
ISO 9002 certification for the remote management business
In a first for the industry, Atos Origin's remote management business has been certified to ISO 9002 standards. Clients will appreciate this guarantee of an effective, sustainable quality process.
