“Atos Origin, IN Group and their business partner BCE create first Intelligent eTrading Center”

Paris, December 13, 2000

A joint venture, led by Atos Origin, is launching a unique, leading edge and independent eBusiness centre in Luxembourg. Blue chip and new chip companies across the Banking, Media and Telecommunications sectors will take advantage of the high performance services of the Intelligent eTrading Centre (ITC). Its first customers already include Cegecom, Energis, Global One, Equant, Carrier 1 and euSign (the first European Trust Center).

Offering a unique range and choice of services and facilities, ITC will provide fast outsourced Internet-based infrastructure, storage, telecommunication, application and media services, together with systems management, security facilities and consultancy. Atos Origin and IN Group (Intelligent Networks) are collaborating with BCE (Broadcasting Center Europe), to provide this range of new e-products and e-services.

Atos Origin's contributions to ITC are the provision of Enterprise ASP and ISP services, systems management and Enterprise ERP solutions together with in-depth industry knowledge, particularly in the Finance, Media and Telecommunication sectors.

Intelligent Networks Group is providing data networking, security and business continuity facilities. Users have the freedom to choose only those services that they require and to change their telecommunications carriers giving total flexibility.

Additional global alliances, to be announced shortly, will provide additional choice and flexibility for the ITC's customers.

ITC supports the commitments the Luxembourg government made at the Lisbon summit regarding eEurope and eLetzebuerg: Luxembourg's eEconomy infrastructure. This eEconomy infrastructure is especially designed to make Luxembourg one of the best locations in Europe for eBusiness growth.

Mr Zens, Government Commissioner and Managing Director of Mediaport, said, "This is an exciting new venture which puts Luxembourg at the centre of European eBusiness. It supports our stated commitment to establishing an unrivalled eEconomy infrastructure to ensure companies in and around Luxembourg are fully equipped for growth."
