“Atos Training Center Introduces Personalized, Interactive Online Training Service”

PARIS, FRANCE - May 10, 2000

Atos, a leading European IT services provider, announced today that its Training Center has introduced a powerful new customizable, interactive online training service supported by its expertise in information technology and computer-aided teaching systems.

Employee training integrates a widening array of multimedia content, both to leverage the growing use of Internet technology and the increasing need to tailor training programs and curricula to individual employee needs. This in turn is encouraging users and facilitators to approach the whole concept of training with a fresh eye. In response to these new challenges, the Atos Training Center has developed a new personalized online training service capable of meeting the special needs and objectives of each user. In this way, it can deliver an effective solution for companies seeking to improve the return on their distance learning investments.

The training platform is installed on a server, hosted either in-house or offsite, so that online courses are accessible on the desktop via an Internet browse. This means students can call up any course or service whenever they want, request assistance from the trainer whenever they need and receive immediate feedback, including schools solutions and test results. At the same time, the training manager can check that objectives have been met, optimize the training plan and measure the company's return on its training dollar.

Training programs comprise existing courses offered as part of a full range of office and IT skills enhancement packages, for such software as Windows, Excel, Lotus Notes and Unix. They can also be enhanced with special courses purpose-designed by the Center's team of educational engineers. The facilitators are all experience trainers, who are fully conversant in the new service's teaching processes and capable of personally tracking a student's progress via the new technology.

According to Samy Arzoine, Director of the Atos Training Center, "Distance learning projects represent an important area of growth, on which we have focused our research and development projects in recent years to help companies implement their own projects."
