“Atos Reinvents the Job Fair With Its First Virtual Open House”

Paris, January 20, 2000

As part of Atos' commitment to recruiting 3,000 people this year, the Systems Integration Division plans to hire more than 1,500 engineers in Europe and has launched a major Web-based recruitment project. The Virtual Open House online job fair is designed to attract job applications from candidates with rare skills, while allowing netizens to learn more about Atos before sending in an application.

The Virtual Open House is being hosted by the Employment Channel, an online job exchange launched in mid-January by two French ISP portals, Voilà.fr and Wanadoo.fr. The innovative new recruitment concept will be introduced in three steps:

An advertorial video that will be netcast on the Employment Channel from January 24 to February 6.
A one-hour evening chat on January 27 during which Atos managers will answer questions live.
A 3-day discussion forum, from January 28 to 31, where Atos will answer questions sent in beforehand by e-mail or snail mail.
To apply for a position, candidates will be asked to post their applications online so that Atos can contact them personally to get more information and make sure their résumés match skill requirements.

The advertorial video will include:

A presentation of the Systems Integration Division, its technological expertise and its human resources policy.
Examples of major e-business and supply chain management projects, and an interview with team members discussing the technologies and skills involved.
A description of the abilities Atos is looking for.
Tips for prospective applicants, with a recent recruit's personal account of his hiring and orientation process.
The video and highlights of the live chat will then be shown for four weeks on the JobFrance.com website and for six weeks on the new Professional Life channel, under the heading "We're hiring", accessible to AOL subscribers. A chat will also be organized on AOL during the evening of March 2.

The chat group, forum and video will later be accessible on the Systems Integration site

Atos will be recruiting 3,000 people this year and will be at France's Prosearch job fair next January 26 and 27.
