What you’ll be doing:
Many of the world’s leading organisations trust Atos to look after their technology. You’ll ensure that trust is well placed – by providing robust support here within our Enterprise Operations Centre (EOC) team.
Our monitoring technologies alert us to issues in our clients’ systems. It will be down to you to resolve these issues quickly and efficiently, so they don’t negatively impact performance and stability. As well as day-to-day troubleshooting, you’ll also get involved in maintenance tasks and the roll-out of new tools and technologies.
Key activities will include:
- Responding to alerts from our monitoring systems
- Diagnosing and resolving incidents (or escalating where appropriate)
- Keeping accurate record logs and liaising with support teams
- Performing backups, system monitoring and maintenance tasks
- Supporting the implementation of new technologies
This role is fast-paced and results-driven. If you’re an agile thinker who loves solving problems and thrives under pressure, you’ll excel in this environment.
You’ll also have a brilliant team around you. EOC is a function with a global reputation for excellence. You’ll learn everything there is to know about providing expert support on IT systems and networks. You’ll also receive on-going training aligned to your role, both on the job and via formal courses, with the aim of achieving industry-recognised certification.
The aim here is to progress you into a leadership role here within EOC.
Skills we can’t do without
We’re looking for someone with an aptitude for technology and an analytical approach. A lot of this role is about diagnosing problems, thinking methodically and paying attention to the details. But you’ll need great interpersonal skills too. You’ll need to keep accurate record logs and communicate with non-technical audiences with real clarity. A flexible, team-working approach is absolutely essential.
If you have a degree in Computer Science or similar, this would be an advantage.
