Community involvement

The community supporting your digital journey

STEMNET

STEMNET stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network, and our graduates are invited to join the STEM Ambassador Programme to support future talent in the IT industry – as well as giving something back to the local community. Our STEMNET Ambassadors run activities at schools across the UK to inspire pupils to pursue STEM subjects in their careers, ensuring we continue to find the talent we need to for our digital future.

“We spotted a great opportunity to run an Atos ‘How to Build a Computer’ workshop at the Big Bang Fair in London. With support from our Chief Technology Officer, I pulled together a team to run the workshop and it worked brilliantly. We gave the students the opportunity to take apart a computer, learn all the individual components, and then race against another team to put the computer back together. The aim was to get their name on a leader board, with the fastest team at the end of the day receiving a Raspberry Pi for their school. STEMNET is a fantastic way to give back to the community and keep young people interested STEM subjects, – with IT especially close to my heart! It’s also a great source of personal development and has taught me some very worthwhile skills.”
