About this scheme

Our Technical Sales Apprenticeship is your opportunity to gain all the knowledge and experience you need to become a confident technical sales person. This 12-18 month programme brings together face to face workshops, online coaching and hands-on experience, giving you the real-world knowledge to thrive in a creative, fast-moving business area.

Throughout the programme you’ll undertake a mix of technical, sales and soft skills training to allow you to successfully sell technical products and services as well as build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients. As you progress, you’ll take on more responsibility, so if you have a genuine passion for IT and great communication skills, this programme is for you.

What you’ll cover

You’ll develop your technical understanding through modules covering IT and MTA Cloud Fundamentals as well skills in core Microsoft office programmes.  You’ll learn all the essential sales skills you need throughout all stages of the sales process; from understanding your customer and legal requirements, to how to generate new business and successfully close a deal.

Just as importantly, you’ll receive plenty of support in developing your soft skills, including communication and complaint handling, presenting at meetings and problem solving. We’ll give you everything you need to operate as a fully-fledged technical sales professional.

Qualifications you will achieve as part of your Technical Sales Apprenticeship:

  • BCS Unit qualifications
  • MOS – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • MTA Cloud Technologies
  • Microsoft MCP

Entry requirements

Our standard entry requirements apply: 5 GCSEs / Scottish National 5’s or equivalent at grades 4-9 / A-C (including Maths and English)

Birmingham

Sales Operations Apprentice

In this exciting and challenging role, you’ll be working within our sales team focussing on promoting key technical products for our Worldline business, to new and existing clients.   You’ll develop a solid foundation in direct telesales activity, responsible for closing deals with customers as well as generating new business opportunities for the future. You’ll gain an understanding of the broad portfolio of products and services we offer, to enhance your daily contact with clients, utilising our innovative two way client communication platform. You’ll equally work with internal account managers and senior directors, to give you a broad insight into all elements of sales, sales support and digital bidding.
