About this scheme

Interested in leading the future of IT? There’s no better place to start than our level 3 IT Systems and Networking apprenticeship. With a focus on on-the-job training, supported by classroom learning and blended learning, the 12-18 month programme is designed to give you a thorough understanding of the most popular IT technologies.

You’ll do that by taking on a diverse range of challenges – all while earning industry recognised qualifications tailored to your talents and ambitions. If you’ve a genuine passion for IT and systems and an intellectually curious approach to work, we’ll teach you everything you’ll need to be become and authoritative technical professional.

What you’ll cover

Throughout the course, you’ll develop your understanding of the fundamentals of systems, networking and data analysis. That will include tuition on mobile, operating systems, cloud services, business, coding, networking and architecture. In addition to these technical skills, you can expect support on developing your business, communication, relationship building and creative problem solving expertise.

Birmingham

Technical Analyst Apprentice

When you join our Enterprise Operations Centre, you’ll support us in managing our customers ICT services, ensuring we always provide a high-quality, agile and timely service. You’ll monitor systems, to identify and rectify faults, manage customer queries and any technical incidents that may arise. You’ll also work on the implementation of changes and enhancements to existing services. It’s a great place to learn new skills across multiple platforms and different IT skill areas, with plenty of opportunities to progress in your career.

Network Administrator Apprentice

Here, we’ll look to you to support our lead engineers, auditing new networks against templated designs and functionality requirements. You’ll learn how to maintain and support our range of network infrastructures, helping to implement fixes and improvements to ensure our networks work efficiently. It’s a perfect platform to learn a wide variety of IT networking skills across a range of systems and technologies.

Datacentre Support Apprentice, Longbridge

This role offers you the opportunity to work in a technical environment, supporting IT systems for high- profile customers.  You’ll develop the technical skills to monitor, operate and support our Data Centre IT systems and infrastructure. This will involve you managing issues through the full lifecycle, from logging and investigating faults, to hands-on  work to rectify any issues. You’ll also manage direct requests from customers and support internal projects to undertake enhancements to systems and processes.

Database Administration Apprentice

As a Database Administrator, we’ll look to you to provide day-to-day support for our clients’ managed databases. This will include a wide range of responsibilities, from providing health checks, updates and patches, to analysing and resolving potentially major issues. If you’re a technically minded problem-solver, it’s the perfect environment in which to learn the fundamentals of IT from a respected global IT organisation.

Blackpool

Technical Support Apprentice

In this role you’ll provide customer facing IT Desktop, Software Application and Server Support, ensuring internal customers’ IT equipment is fully functional. From rolling out new equipment to software upgrade installations, you’ll develop a range of technical skills which you’ll learn to apply together with business knowledge to solve technical problems for end users and create simple, effective solutions. You will use effective communication skills to provide an efficient service to clients and will learn to adapt to a range of challenges in this busy team.

Crewe

Technical Support Apprentice

Providing first line technical support to key clients, you’ll be part of a dedicated team of professional support analysts. You‘ll develop a range of technical skills, which you’ll learn to apply together with business knowledge to solve technical problems for end users and create simple, effective solutions. You will use effective communication skills to provide an efficient service to clients and will learn to adapt to a range of challenges in this busy team.

Support Analyst Apprentice

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical knowledge in key tooling while delivering essential support and services to end users. You will learn to maintain our tooling at an optimum level, resolving any system issues, whilst continually looking to improve the efficiency of the tools and services being delivered to our customers. You will build, manage and implement technical changes as part of the transformation journey towards new digital service delivery solutions expected by our customers today.

Gloucester

Server Administration Apprentice

Here, you’ll learn valuable skills while providing day-to-day support for our clients’ servers and operating systems. With support from highly knowledgeable colleagues, you’ll manage complex infrastructures while providing technical support and maintenance. It’s a highly visible role, which will see you troubleshooting, streamlining and improving our capabilities by bringing new ideas to the table, right from the start.

Storage Administration Apprentice

As a Storage Administrator you’ll support your team in ensuring each of our customers’ individual storage platforms are  protected at all times. We’ll look to you to actively monitor and resolve shared infrastructure issues, all while engaging in a wide range of backup, data restoration and analysis responsibilities. In return, you’ll learn highly sought after IT skills across several platforms, allowing you to progress into a senior technician, project or infrastructure architecture role that suits  your ambitions.
