About this scheme

Our Business Administration Apprenticeship is your opportunity to gain the confidence and experience you need to get a real head start. Whether you’re interested in operations or customer service, this 12 – 18 month programme will develop you into a capable team member, with real skills and responsibilities to drive the rest of your career.

Throughout the course you’ll learn and use skills that will support you in a wide range of business and admin tasks. As you progress you’ll take on more responsibility, and by the time you’ve completed your apprenticeship you’ll be a trusted professional, ready to contribute to live projects and progress your career. If you like being well organised, analysing information and you have great communications skills, this programme is for you.

What you’ll cover

You’ll develop some of the most essential business skills around. From a technical perspective, your modules will cover the general principles of business, reporting and analysing data, and managing budgets, resources and change. Just as importantly though, you’ll receive plenty of support in improving your soft skills. That will include time planning and presenting at meetings, directly serving our customers and building relationships with people across the business.

We’ll give you everything you need to operate as a fully-fledged business professional.

Automation Coordinator

As part of our busy Automation team, you’ll support a wide range of projects to identify opportunities to automate the way we work. In this exciting new area, you’ll play a key role help to build new capability within the business to focus on automation activities; delivering projects that will make a real difference in terms of productivity and operational transformation. You’ll develop an understanding of how our organisation works, and support the continual improvement of our services.


Incident Management Apprentice

As part of our  incident management team, you’ll develop a thorough understanding of our  services, in order to effectively manage IT issues that arise, ensuring  compliance to incident management processes. With support from experienced  colleagues, you’ll gain exposure to industry recognised ITIL processes,  proactively manage incidents from start to finish, documenting progress and  updates as you go. You’ll help to ensure we meet customer requirements, as well  as seeking out opportunities to continuously improve the services we offer.

Change Management Apprentice

As part of this team,  you’ll work closely with experienced colleagues to help us effectively manage  change processes and change requests for IT services delivered to our clients.  You’ll gain exposure to industry recognised ITIL processes, ensuring compliance  to change processes and managing any breaches of those processes. You’ll attend  change forum meetings, to help the business manage change in a way that best  meets our clients’ needs, as well as seeking out opportunities to continuously  improve the services we offer.

Service Assurance Apprentice

As part of our  service assurance team, you’ll develop a thorough understanding of our  services, in order to ensure help optimise the performance of our systems and  services to clients, to maximise customer satisfaction. You’ll gain exposure to  industry recognised ITIL processes, monitoring system usage and performance to  produce effective reporting for the management team, on service levels and  performance issues. You’ll ensure any system issues are flagged and ensure they  are resolved in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to industry quality  standards.

Problem Management Apprentice

As a member of our problem management team,  you’ll help to reduce IT infrastructure incidents for our IT Service Desk. With  exposure to industry recognised ITIL processes, you’ll learn how to manage  problems end to end, in order to resolve issues effectively, investigating the  root cause and implementing permanent solutions, to minimise future disruption.  You’ll undertake analysis to identify common trends and identify any future  problems, and fix them before they even happen.


Service Desk Support Apprentice

The IT Service Desk support team manages projects and communication for all levels of staff. You’ll analyse data to provide timely communications, guidance and statistical information to the team leaders, helping to ensure a consistent and standard approach as you review completion of team targets and deadlines. You’ll also produce presentations on the status of key projects, and check that accurate reports and records are produced and maintained.


Transformation Coordinator

As part of our busy Transformation team, you’ll support a wide range of projects, to improve the way we work. You’ll analyse data to identify areas for change, and oversee the tracking and management of changes to be implemented. The projects are wide and varied, from tracking productivity on key accounts or managing our internal communications strategy through to reviewing utilisation of office facilities; all the time, seeking opportunities to streamline and improve productivity and efficiency.

Software Asset &  Configuration Apprentice

In  this role you will work closely with our software asset and configuration  managers to maintain the integrity of software and service items, to support  delivery of effective services to clients. You could be managing licensing  agreements and user access, whilst monitoring utilisation and adherence to  processes; or applying changes to software assets and structures, conducting  analysis and audits, to maintain quality, whilst seeking continuous improvement  opportunities. Whatever part  of the team you join you’ll gain exposure to industry recognised ITIL processes  with support from experience colleagues.


Audit Support Apprentice

As part of the Audit Support team you’ll work to ensure that our client’s processes, procedures and regulations are adhered to accurately and in a timely manner. You’ll monitor existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement, liaising directly with internal colleagues and our external client. You’ll analyse data to produce statistical reports for the management team, and monitor reports from the internal teams, to ensure key targets are met.

Scheduling Team Apprentice

You’ll build a range of administrative and customer service skills in a busy and fast-paced environment. As part of the scheduling team, you’ll be responsible for scheduling customer appointments in line with company policies and procedures. You’ll also help to manage effective utilisation of internal team resources. Or you could be acting as administrative support to colleagues, ensuring all administrative preparation is in place for customer appointments. Working with internal and external customers, you’ll improve your organisation and communications skills to become a credit to any team.
