IT Support Developer Apprentice

About the role

If you’re interested in helping Atos to get valuable working software out in front of active users, and improving the quality of digital services, then there’s no better place to start than our Level 3 (12-18 month programme) Junior Developer Apprenticeship. During the programme we combine classroom training with hands on experience, with modules designed to teach you both the technical and business skills you need to thrive in a long-term career at Atos.

Working as part of our technical support team, this customer-facing role will see you deliver service support to resolve customer issues as they arise, which will involve:

  • analysis and modification of logic in existing applications;
  • testing;
  • problem management;
  • updates and improvements to existing systems.

You’ll work on a large well-known financial sector account and be able to learn from some of the industry’s most skilled professionals, making this is a fantastic opportunity to test and develop your technical skills.

What you’ll cover?

We support you with the hands-on experience required and all our Junior Developers apprentices will achieve a Junior Developer level 3 qualification. The programme, together with the support from your team will give you everything you need to be successful.

Qualifications you’ll achieve as part of your Junior Developer Apprenticeship:

  • BCS Certificate in Software Development Context and Methodologies
  • BCS Certificate in Programming
  • Level 3 Software Development Technician apprenticeship

Entry requirements

For this scheme you’ll need 5 GCSEs / Scottish National 5’s or equivalent at grades 4-9 / A-C (including English) plus GCSE in Maths grade 6-9 / B or above.

Please include your grades on your CV, and note that we will need to see your certificates to enrol you on the apprenticeship.

This role requires you to gain Security Clearance, so you must have been resident in the UK&I for at least the last five years.
