About this scheme

If you’re interested in working with data and supporting the future of a global business, there’s no better place to start than our level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship. This 18-24 month programme puts an emphasis on learning on live projects in the workplace, supported by theoretical classroom learning. You’ll cover a diverse range of subjects – integral to understanding successful data analysis – with support from some of the most engaging colleagues in the business.

You’ll gain invaluable exposure as you provide technical data solutions to a range of stakeholders and customers issues, using industry-recognised software tools and building relationships with colleagues and clients on key projects. So by the time you’ve completed, you’ll have industry-recognised qualifications and all the skills and experience you need for a successful career in data analytics.

What you’ll cover

All our apprentices learn the basics of collecting, organising and studying data to provide business insights and project engagement as early as possible, so you can make an impact in the field straight away. From there, you’ll learn plenty of specialist skills tailored to your talents and competencies. These could include a good understanding of data structures, database systems and procedures.

Qualifications you will achieve as part of your Data Analysist apprenticeship:

  • Data Analyst Level 4
  • BCS Level 4 Certificate in Data Analysis Tools
  • BCS Level 4 Certificate in Data Analysis Concepts
  • Dell EMC Data Science Associate Vendor Qualification

Entry requirements

England: 5 GCSEs / Scottish National 5s or equivalent at grades 4-9 / A-C (including Maths and English), plus one of the below:

  • 2 A Levels / Scottish Highers (including Maths*, Finance, Economics, ICT* or STEM**)

*AS Level ICT or Maths is accepted as one of the 2 A Levels
**STEM subject must be in either the Technical or Mathematics stream

  • OR An International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
  • OR A Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • OR A BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

Scotland: 5 GCSEs / Scottish National 5s or equivalent (grade 4-9 / A-C) including Maths and English.
