Atos awarded contract with leading insurance providers Vitality

Atos, (https://atos.net/en-gb) a leader in digital services, has today announced a contract win with Vitality, the business changing health and life insurance for good. This new £9 million contract will see Atos deliver end-user technology and telephony for the company over a three year period with an option to extend for an additional two years.

Vitality – which helps people understand how they can improve their own personal health – and Atos invested time collaborating to ensure there was a deep understanding of the organisation’s long-term technology and business needs. This meant looking very closely at their current IT estate, as well as gathering views on their ambitions for enhancing and improving the experience their end users receive by delivering a more intuitive and user-friendly environment. This was underpinned by a secure and stable service forming the basis for any further digital enhancements they might want for their employees in the future.

Commenting on the new relationship Steve Short, Head of Financial Services Atos UK&I said:
“We are excited to welcome an innovative insurer such as Vitality into our portfolio of financial sector clients. Vitality will benefit from the same workplace principles that we have in our own organisation, which are to create a modern workplace with a cutting edge digital platform for employees. Technology is vitally important to a business and to employees and should drive efficiencies as well as better collaboration and communication.

“Over the coming months we will work with Vitality to implement a reliable end-user computing environment which will deliver major productivity gains as well as ensuring they have a digital environment that can support any future technology ambitions.”

At the heart of the contract is a focus on the user experience and providing a comprehensive service with fast access to help and support if needed. Alongside this, instant messenger facilities will be expanded and rolled out to encourage better communication and the process for new joiners and movers to be set up with new technology will be swift and seamless.

Mark Collins, CIO from VitalityHealth said: “This will be a fantastic partnership for us and we are looking forward to working with a like-minded company who has the same drive as us for innovation and continued customer satisfaction.”

“The process will simplify the operational approach across the full service and will improve the speed of response on business and IT issues.”

The partnership with Vitality further underpins Atos’ strategic drive into financial services in the UK and Ireland. Atos is one of the top three service providers to the financial services market in Europe and is a key partner to eight of Europe’s top 10 banks and six of the top 10 global insurers. Its 15,000 financial services experts are dedicated to designing, delivering and managing effective, tailored, sector-based services and solutions to banks and insurers worldwide.
