International IT services company Atos announces new IT contract with Disclosure Scotland

International IT services company, Atos, has today announced a major new contract with the Scottish Government executive agency, Disclosure Scotland.
The initial two and a half year Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Interim Maintenance Contract commenced yesterday (29 May 2014) and will be delivered by a team from the Atos base in Scotland. The contract also has the potential for a further two options of 12 month contract extensions to be awarded.
The IT Managed Service being delivered will take full advantage of the company’s UK Government Accredited Secure Cloud service.
Atos will host Disclosure Scotland’s PVG application in a highly secure environment which meets the highest levels of government security accreditation. They will be responsible for receiving and scanning completed application forms, and printing and mailing certificates.
Atos will not be involved in the compliance or verification stage of Disclosure Scotland’s activities.
