Risky risk assessments

14th May 2018

Security is not the most popular topic during management meetings. The question usually is: in view of the most recent risk assessment, can we justify the limited budget for security investments? In follow-up of his last blog, Koen Maris, CTO Cybersecurity at Atos, shares his thoughts: “What if I told you that these assessments are usually based on completely false assumptions and incorrect data?”

Stop playing catch-up

11th April 2018

5th May 2017

16th January 2017
Koen Maris (Chief Technology Officer – Cyber Security at Atos BTN) shares his thoughts on the Cyber Security models that have been in place for many years. These models have changed very little and are based on a reactive approach towards the “known bad”. But, how do we create a more effective and proactive approach? To establish this, we need to answer the following question: How to distinguish the wanted from the unwanted?
