“Atos evaluated in the Gartner 2015 Critical Capabilities for High-Security Mobility Management for its Hoox m2 solution, already adopted by highest authorities”

Hoox, the secured smartphone developed by Bull, the Atos brand for its technology products and software, has been evaluated by Gartner.

Hoox 2015

Atos has scored second highest among 19 worldwide vendors in two out of six use cases. Atos has scored 3.39 in the High-Security Government Grade and 3.36 in the Nonemployee Use Cases, both out of 5 for its Hoox m2 solution.  Hoox m2 is the first natively secure professional smartphone. The hardware, operating system and software layers are designed to provide you with a high level of security. Phone conversations, SMS, emails and all other data are encrypted, which ensures confidential communication. Hoox m2 systematically protects the confidentiality and integrity of stored data, applications and the operating system. Hoox m2 verifies the user’s identity via strong two-factor authentication -biometrics, mutual cryptographic authentication or security code. Access to the terminal is strictly controlled, and communication ports are strictly managed to prevent attacks by intrusion.

According to Christophe Moret, Vice-president for Cybersecurity at Atos, “In-depth control of the terminal is an important added value for the mobile security, compared with the software solutions that are installed on mass market terminals. We believe the report from Gartner shows that Atos is now well established and we see this confidence in our technology at an operational level too, with the delivery this summer of a significant number of Hoox m2 terminals to a French government department.”

Security in mobility is a real need for states and sensitive companies. Defeating cyber threats when users are connected to public networks is a major concern wherever employees are whether in their home country or overseas. These threats on mobile terminals are widespread either as intrusions or via the communications themselves and can originate from small harmful entities all the way up to state to state attacks.

Hoox is a European solution for mobile security, certified and approved for NATO and EU Restricted communication levels. Hoox ciphers voice, SMS and data communications, and ensures the security of data together with the whole terminal cannot be compromised.
