EU Commission approves the acquisition of Siemens IT Solutions and Services by Atos Origin
Paris, 25th March 2011
Atos Origin, an international IT services company, after having announced on February 1st, 2011, the signature of a final binding agreement to acquire Siemens IT Solutions and Services with Siemens AG, obtains today clearance from the European Commission to proceed. The transaction is also approved by the US anti-trust authorities in the absence of any observation during the relevant waiting period.
The transaction is expected to close by July 2011, subject to the completion of the remaining condition precedents of the deal, among which the Atos Origin shareholders approval at an Extraordinary Shareholders Meeting.
