What is Exadata?

Exadata is version 2 of the integrated Oracle Sun Database appliance, designed to give you instant extreme performance from Oracle databases and datawarehouses. Exadata combines database processing, servers, networking and storage in one rack, with very fast connections between the components in a well balanced and tested design.

Techniques like solid state storage, flash cache and extremely efficient data compression algorithms are all pre-configured and tuned out-of-the-box. Exadata can scale out very easily and has redundant architectures, all delivering a very reliable, scalable and high performance platform for transaction systems and data-warehouses.

Exadata is up to 150 times faster than competitive solutions and can compress your data 10 times or more

In our tests and proof of concepts we have seen that Exadata can reduce waiting time of complex queries and batch-jobs up to 150 times and can compress databases with a factor 10 or more. So much performance can change your business!
